Peru: PM participates in earthquake drill at Government Palace

Prime Minister Eduardo Arana on Monday participated in the earthquake drill held at the Government Palace in Lima, an exercise that allowed for the assessment of the Emergency Operations Plans' effectiveness and efficiency.

Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) personnel also participated in the exercise, it was reported via social media. 

PCM staff positioned themselves around the security circles in the Government Palace's Courtyard of Honor, while Armed Forces personnel transported the simulated injured as part of this exercise.

Drills help strengthen the preparedness and response capabilities of the entities within the National Disaster Risk Management System and the population to respond efficiently and promptly to natural hazards.
