Peru and U.S. reaffirm interest in continuing to work jointly

Peruvian Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Desilu Leon held a meeting with the U.S. Trade Representative, Ambassador Jamieson Greer, in Washington, D.C.

During the event, the authorities agreed on the strength of bilateral relations between the two countries, based on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), establishing a constructive dialogue in which they reaffirmed their interest in continuing to work together. 

In this regard, it was agreed to hold meetings in the near future to build on today's dialogue at the technical level. 


The session also addressed matters of bilateral interest, such as security in the logistics chain and U.S. capital investments in strategic sectors.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Peru's Ambassador to the United States also participated in the gathering.
