Among the sectors that stood out were: Agriculture and Livestock (+4.35%); Fishing (+24.64%); Manufacturing (+1.94%); Construction (+5.91%); Commerce (+3.09%); Transportation, Storage, and Messaging (+5.66%); Accommodation and Restaurants (+0.64%); Finance-Insurance (+0.39%); Services Provided to Companies (+3.84%); Government Services (+4.42%); in addition to Other Services (+3.75).
On the other hand, Mining-Hydrocarbons (-1.36%); Electricity, Gas, and Water (-1.64%); and Telecommunications and Other Information Services (-0.35%) showed unfavorable performances.
The INEI indicated that Peru's productive activity increased by 3.38% during the first two months of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, and by 3.50% over the past 12 months (March 2024–February 2025), relative to the period from March 2023 to February 2024.
"It should be noted that the result for the month under analysis occurred with one less day of activity, compared to February 2024, which had 29 days due to being a leap year, " it stated on April 15.
