Peruvian Amazonian entrepreneurs will gather in Tingo Maria city, Huanuco region, on June 5 and 6 this year, at the campus of National Agrarian University of the Jungle (UNAS), for the VI Amazonian Entrepreneurs Congress (CEA) 2025 under the slogan "Development of the Peruvian Amazon and the new order of the world economy."
This event will bring together national and regional authorities, businesspeople, academics, native communities, and aspiring presidential candidates, in an agenda aimed at the integral, sustainable, and secure development of the Peruvian Amazon.
One of the central topics of the Amazonian congress will be the proposal of the Trans-Amazonian Ecological Train, which would connect the Port of Chancay with the Peruvian jungle and Brazil, promoting connectivity and economic development in harmony with the environment.
In addition, the participants will discuss the creation of a Specialized Amazonian Police Force in order to confront organized crime linked to illegal mining, drug trafficking, and indiscriminate logging.
Congress topics
During the sessions, topics such as: opportunities for entrepreneurs and attraction of investments, waterways, airports and regional connectivity, territorial planning and unlocking of public and private investments; and circular economy, agroindustry, and bio-businesses will be addressed.
Also, afforestation, reforestation and forest conservation, citizen and legal security for development; and real cases of successful sustainable enterprises in the jungle.
Multisectoral participation
Organized by the Pro Amazonía Group (GPA) and supported by the Amazonian Council of Chambers of Commerce (CACC), the Amazonian Regional Commonwealth, and CONAP, the VI CEA seeks to establish a roadmap for the sustainable development of the Amazon by the year 2055, articulating efforts among the State, the private sector, and Amazonian peoples.
The event will culminate with the Declaration of Tingo María, a collective commitment to the Amazon, in addition to a posthumous tribute to Peruvian geographer Javier Pulgar Vidal.
