The value of non-traditional agricultural product exports reached US$709 million in March, representing a 27.1% year-on-year increase, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) reported.

The average export volume rose 38% year-on-year due to a 123.2% growth in fresh grape sales, following the early start of last year's export season, and a 207% expansion in fresh mango shipments, driven by the recovery of their production.

According to the BCR, these two products were affected by adverse weather conditions in Peru in 2023.

First Quarter

During the first quarter of 2025, non-traditional agricultural exports amounted to US$2.75 billion, a 25.3% increase compared to the same period last year (US$2.194 billion).

This growth was driven by higher volumes of non-traditional agricultural products, which increased by 30.9%.
