World Economic Forum (WEF) President Børge Brende has extended an invitation to the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, to participate in the WEF Annual Meeting 2026, the Peruvian Mission in Geneva announced on Monday via X.

The event will take place in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, from 19 to 23 January.

The invitation extended by the World Economic Forum holds particular significance for Peru’s international projection, as it provides a strategic platform to reaffirm the South American country’s commitment to the principles of multilateralism, sustainability, and public-private cooperation.

Likewise, it represents a valuable opportunity to showcase national progress in socioeconomic development, social inclusion, and environmental governance, as well as to position Peru in global debates on sustainability, economic governance, and innovation.

In an international context marked by geopolitical uncertainty and profound economic transformations, Peru’s participation would contribute to consolidating its image as a reliable, committed, and constructive actor within the international community.

This meeting also offers an exceptional platform to hold high-level bilateral meetings, participate in strategic discussions on the main issues of the global agenda, and engage directly with CEOs of the world’s most influential transnational companies, thereby fostering investment opportunities for Peru.
