The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC) on Tuesday reported that the fuel supply at the new terminal of Jorge Chavez International Airport —the new gateway to the Peruvian capital, Lima— is guaranteed, after overcoming an incident that occurred during the initial hours of operation.

According to a statement issued by the MTC, upon learning of the issues in fuel distribution, coordination protocols were immediately activated with the airport operator, airlines, and specialized services.

The objective was to safely and efficiently meet the operational demand of the airport terminal, which began full operations on June 1.

As part of the technical response, the necessary fuel supply equipment was moved to the aircraft parking positions, thereby allowing air operations to continue without compromising service safety.

The MTC specified that it provided constant support by directly overseeing the implementation of the technical and logistical solutions required to restore the normal flow of fuel supply.

Thanks to these coordinated actions, the incident was overcome and normal air operations at the new terminal were ensured.
