On World Cancer Day, the Peruvian Government reaffirmed its commitment to raising awareness, prevention, and ensuring access to quality care.

"We continue to strengthen the healthcare system to provide hope and well-being to more Peruvians," the Executive Branch stated via social media.

As part of World Cancer Day, which is commemorated today, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) launched the national campaign "United by Unique," which will run from February 1 to 7 nationwide.

It focuses on primary and secondary cancer prevention, offering HPV vaccination services and screening for various types of cancer to the entire population, regardless of their health insurance status.

World Cancer Day is an initiative of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), commemorated every February 4, with the aim of raising awareness, sensitizing, and mobilizing society to make progress in the control and prevention of this serious disease.

Every year, World Cancer Day adopts a specific theme, focusing on different aspects of cancer care.

The theme for World Cancer Day 2025-2027 is "United by Unique." This slogan highlights the importance of personalized care and treatments to address the unique needs of each individual.
