The Peruvian Government congratulated Ecuador's President-elect, Daniel Noboa, on his victory in the runoff election.

"We reaffirm our willingness to strengthen the brotherhood and cooperation bonds, consolidating democracy as the only path toward the comprehensive development of our nations and the region," the Presidential Office underlined via social media on Sunday night.

The runoff vote in Ecuador's presidential election took place yesterday to choose who will govern the country for the next four years (2025–2029), with the contenders being the current President, businessman Daniel Noboa, and candidate Luisa Gonzalez.
