Agricultural exports reached US$11.151 billion in 2024, 21.5% higher than the previous year.
This increase is the highest recorded in the last 10-year period, from 2015 to 2024, the BCR noted at that time.
The result was attributed to a 17.7% annual increase in prices due to adverse weather conditions in 2023, which caused a reduced supply of Peruvian products on the global market, particularly early in the year.
Grape prices rose 12.1%, avocado prices by 36%, and mango prices by 37.9%. Additionally, the international price of cacao expanded 147.8%.
