The 12-month inflation expectations of economic analysts and the financial system decreased to 2.27% in May, remaining within the inflation target range for a year and a half, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) reported on Friday.

It is worth remembering that inflation expectations returned to the range in December 2023 (2.83%).

Likewise, in May all economic agents maintained their inflation projections within the target range for 2025, 2026, and 2027, according to the BCR.

The financial system lowered its projection from 2.20% to 2.15% for this year, while non-financial entities, along with economic analysts, kept theirs at 2.30%.

For next year and 2027, inflation forecasts range between 2.15% and 2.50%, all within the inflation target range.
