Casa Peru (Peru Home), established on the Navy's BAP Union training ship, has become a traveling embassy that will showcase the South American country's cultural and gastronomic richness, as well as its exportable and tourism offerings, Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Desilu Leon stated.

During its 170-day journey at sea, the BAP Union will visit 10 ports in the United States and Europe.
"Inside this Casa Peru, we will bring samples of our history and gastronomy, including our superfoods. (...) We will also showcase our textiles, samples of alpaca and cotton wool, and our handicrafts," Leon indicated.
Remarks were made during a ceremony on Thursday. It was attended by Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru) Executive-President Ricardo Limo, Peruvian Navy Commander General Admiral Jose Polar Figari, government officials, and the training ship's crew members.

The BAP Union, set to carry the Marca Peru (Peru Brand) as well, will set sail from the Port of Callao on May 13.
It will visit ports in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain, among others, staying between two and seven days in each destination.
On board, products from the sectoral brands "Alpaca del Peru," "Peru Textiles," "Cafés del Peru Especialidades Únicas," "Pisco Spirit of Peru," "Super Foods Peru," and "Peru Xperty" will be showcased.

These brands will play a key role in positioning the South American country as a benchmark for quality, sustainability, and innovation.
Additionally, for the first time, the BAP Union will host three off-ship promotional events in London (the United Kingdom), Amsterdam (the Netherlands), and Vigo (Spain).
"In some of the ports, we will have spaces featuring cultural displays, dances, investment opportunities, and all the potential our country has to offer," the Mincetur head said.
"This is not the typical Casa Peru where things are just displayed; here, there will be a highly interactive experience so that foreigners can learn much more about Peru," she added.
These activities will include audiovisual presentations, tastings of traditional dishes, exhibitions of export products, training sessions for tour operators, and meetings with investors.
At each stop, the training ship will also promote Peru as a travel destination through digital channels and local PR agencies.
Casa Peru was set up on the BAP Union as part of an agreement between Mincetur, through PromPeru, and the Navy. This strategic alliance aims to strengthen Peru's presence in international markets and enhance its global image.
