Peru welcomes Panama's President with honors on official visit

The President of the Republic of Panama, Jose Raul Mulino, is undertaking an official visit to Peru on April 10, 11, and 13, with an agenda focused on strengthening bilateral ties and fostering political, economic, and cultural dialogue between the two nations.

The visit began today with the arrival of the Panamanian President at Air Group No. 8 in Callao region. At the site, he was received by Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer.

During his stay, Mr. Mulino will participate in various protocol events and high-level meetings.

On April 11, the Panamanian Head of State will pay tribute to the Heroes and Pioneers of Independence in Lima's Jesus Maria district.

Afterwards, the visiting top official will be received with military honors at the Government Palace by his Peruvian counterpart, President Dina Boluarte.

At the site, he will hold a private meeting, an expanded working meeting, and will be awarded the Order of the Sun in the Rank of Grand Collar, the highest distinction granted by the Peruvian State to foreign personalities.

Finally, on April 13, the Panamanian President will conclude his official visit, departing from Air Group No. 8 en route to Panama, following a stay that symbolizes the historical closeness and the commitment to continue building a shared future between both nations.
