Peru: President participates in launch of first 2025 anchoveta fishing season

President Dina Boluarte on Friday participated in the official start of the first 2025 northern-central anchoveta fishing season.

This event took place at the Pesquera Diamante plant in Callao region.

The anchoveta extraction activity officially began at 00:00 hours on April 22, 2025, following the EUREKA LXXVI Operation carried out between April 19 and 21 by the Peruvian Sea Institute (Imarpe).
