Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam will pay an official visit to Peru starting November 12.

The Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday reported the confirmation of the upcoming visit.

It will take place in response to an invitation extended by Peruvian President Dina Boluarte.

Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah will also participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum Leaders' Meeting to be held in the Peruvian capital next week.

Bilateral meeting

It was announced that the upcoming visit will enable the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam and the President of Peru to review aspects related to the bilateral agenda.

This will allow for increased cooperation between the two economies in various areas. These mainly cover issues related to trade and investment.

Both Peru and Brunei Darussalam are part of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
