Presidential candidate George Forsyth cast his vote Sunday morning in the 2026 General Elections.
The Somos Peru (We Are Peru Party) representative exercised his right to vote at Isabel La Catolica School, located in Lima's La Victoria district, where he previously served as mayor.
Arriving on a motorcycle, the presidential hopeful reached the polling place, where he was greeted by several citizens.
After quickly casting his ballot, the former goalkeeper got back on his motorcycle and left the premises.
This marks Forsyth's second presidential bid, following his first in 2021.
Before heading to the polling place, he had breakfast with relatives and party members, including the group’s chairwoman Patricia Li.
The 2026 General Elections began Sunday at 7:00 a.m., with more than 27 million Peruvians expected to head to polling places until 6:00 p.m. to choose national authorities and congressional representatives.
