Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer held meetings with his counterparts from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Saint Lucia.

These meetings took place recently within the framework of the 40th Session of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) held in Lima.

In this regard, Ambassador Schialer met with the Foreign Affairs Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Frederick Stephenson, to whom he expressed Peru's willingness to strengthen bilateral relations as well as those with the Caribbean Community (Caricom).

Likewise, the diplomat expressed Peru's readiness to foster negotiations aimed at signing a technical cooperation agreement between the two countries.

This agreement will allow for the identification of mutual interest areas, as well as for monitoring the implementation of the programs that both countries decide to agree upon.

Minister Schialer also held a bilateral meeting with his counterpart from Saint Lucia, Alva Romanus Baptiste, to whom he expressed Peru's interest in continuing to foster and strengthen political dialogue and cooperation with that nation and with Caricom.

Both ministers agreed to continue working closely to deepen ties between the two countries, particularly through cooperation in the areas of tourism and agriculture.

These meetings took place at the Foreign Affairs Ministry headquarters in the Peruvian capital, Lima.
