as he ruled out any privatization.
"We are putting our house in order so that it once again becomes a company all Peruvians can be proud of," he underlined.
During an interview with RPP TV, Minister Bravo said the Executive Branch is acting within its constitutional powers, making a responsible decision to prevent Petroperu from slipping into insolvency.
"Continuing with bailouts would have meant doing more of the same; instead, we chose to act for the sake of this country," he emphasized.
The government official noted that the company's board must carry out an organizational restructuring to reduce the number of management units and improve overall administration.
"What we are seeking is for the company to operate in an agile and efficient manner," he said.
The Cabinet member said the Executive Branch is boosting the company's financial reorganization and a promotional plan through the State-run Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversion), with the aim of attracting new investment to support Petroperu's recovery.
"No company assets will be sold; rather, we are seeking to achieve more efficient management of Petroperu's asset blocks in order to generate value, restructure the company, and restore its financial health so that it can attract new capital," he concluded.
