FA Ministry: No Peruvians missing or died after Hurricane Milton

Regarding the passage of Hurricane Milton along the coast of Florida, United States, the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that there are no Peruvian citizens missing or dead following this natural phenomenon.

"To date, no compatriots have been reported dead, injured, or missing. Our Consulate General in Miami, in coordination with U.S. authorities, continues to closely monitor the situation," reads a communiqué released on Thursday evening. 

The hurricane caused flooding and tornadoes, affecting the power supply to over 3 million households.

U.S. authorities have reported more than a dozen people dead, a figure that could rise as debris removal advances.

"Our consular officials in Miami are in constant contact with our fellow citizens, ready to provide any assistance that the Peruvian community may require," the Peruvian ministry pointed out.
