The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte affirmed that her administration will continue working on the important pillars committed for the current year: economic reactivation and the fight against citizen insecurity.

"That is the stance, that is the conduct of this Government in the frontal fight against corruption," Mrs. Boluarte emphasized during a press conference.

The top official reiterated that her administration will continue its efforts to move Peru forward and reduce the poverty gap, addressing not only monetary terms but also multidimensional aspects, which translates into water and drainage services, better schools and hospitals, connectivity, among others.

Therefore, Mrs. Boluarte underscored the importance of ensuring that children and adolescents attend school, and that those students who had dropped out during the COVID-19 pandemic return to their studies.

"The best (legacy) we can leave to our girls, boys, and adolescents is knowledge. We will continue working on that, with key priorities for this year: economic recovery and public security," she underlined.

The President also highlighted the Chancay-Callao port hub and the unblocking of major irrigation (public) works, such as Chavimochic, Chinecas, Alto Piura, and Majes, to expand our agricultural frontier and export products to the world.

This event took place at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.
