Economy and Finance Minister Jose Salardi on Monday presented the portfolio of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and asset projects, which involves a total investment of US$16 billion for the 2025-2026 period.

"What lies ahead in the short term is quite promising, and we have identified a total of 80 projects in PPPs and asset projects for 2025-2026, amounting to US$16 billion," he stated.

The government official detailed the sectoral distribution of the PPPs and asset project portfolio for 2025 and 2026, which is being developed in coordination with the State-run Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversion).

"The Transportation sector has the largest portfolio, with 26 projects and US$8.824 billion in future investments, benefiting 19 regions across the country. Water and Sanitation also has a portfolio of 14 projects worth US$2.139 billion in 12 regions. In Health, there are 7 projects totaling US$1.357 billion, benefiting three regions," Salardi specified.

"The Electricity and Hydrocarbons sector will be very dynamic, with 23 projects worth US$1.153 billion. Education has 5 projects, which will mobilize investments of US$644 million. Real Estate and Tourism will have 5 projects worth US$2.524 billion," he added.

The Cabinet member explained that this portfolio has been under development for months, and ProInversion is committed to moving forward with awarding this package of projects for 2025 and 2026.

"For 2025, we plan to award 34 projects worth US$8 billion, and next year, there would be 46 projects totaling another US$8 billion," he stated.

Minister Salardi also highlighted that from the creation of ProInversion in 2002 to 2024, a total of 243 projects have been awarded, involving investments worth over US$46 billion.

"There were 138 PPP projects, with over US$35 billion in investments and 105 asset projects exceeding US$10 billion," he noted.
