The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Monday highlighted the importance of creating the Tahuantinsuyo Museum, which will be implemented at San Antonio Abad National University in Cusco, southeastern Peru.

Similarly, the Head of State considered that it will contribute to strengthening identity, as it will help forge a more united Peru that is aware of its historical and cultural richness.

At the ceremony for the enactment of the supreme decree declaring the implementation of this project of national interest, Mrs. Boluarte indicated that the future museum "is intended to be a center for study, research, and recognition of our valuable Inca past."

Similarly, the top official noted that this museum "will not only be a tribute to our glorious past but also a commitment to the present and future."

"By signing the decree declaring its construction to be of national interest, we are taking a fundamental step," she emphasized.

The president indicated that "by strengthening our identity, we will forge a more united Peru that is aware of its historical and cultural richness."

Cultural decentralization

President Boluarte noted that the issuance of this decree on the Tahantinsuyo Museum "reaffirms our political will for cultural decentralization and regions' sustainable development."

"The museum will also be a driving force for tourism that appreciates and seeks to learn more about our Inca ancestors," she pointed out.

The top official indicated that Peruvians "united make Peru a beacon of knowledge and culture for the world; and united we will continue to build the country that our children need: more just, more inclusive, and more equitable."

"The museum will also be a driving force for tourism that appreciates and seeks to learn more about our Inca ancestors," she added.
