The Peruvian Embassy in Japan on Monday received five motorized units donated by the Japan Firefighters Association for the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru (CGBVP).

The vehicles, which are in perfect condition and have the necessary equipment for immediate use, consist of two ambulances and three fire trucks.

During the ceremony, Peruvian Ambassador to Japan, Roberto Seminario, thanked the Japan Firefighters Association for the donation made under the agreement between the National Fire Authority of Peru and the organization.

This contribution will help meet the demand for daily emergency response in the South American country.

The aforementioned units will arrive in Peru in the coming weeks and will be made available to domestic firefighters and the citizenry.

The General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru is a national civic organization composed of volunteer firefighters who provide public service voluntarily and ad honorem.

It is regulated by Legislative Decree No. 1260, which strengthens the CGBVP as part of the National Citizen Security System and regulates the National Fire Superintendence of Peru.
