Peru: Annual Inflation and Core Inflation are within BCR's target range

Last November, inflation in Metropolitan Lima for the last 12 months stood at 2.27%, whereas core inflation (excluding food and energy) registered 2.56%, both within the target range established by the Central Reserve Bank (BCR).

According to the issuing entity, the total monthly inflation in Metropolitan Lima was 0.09% in November compared to October, while inflation excluding food and energy was 0.06% in the same period.

The BCR stated that the categories with the greatest contribution to the rise in inflation last November were fresh and marine fish (+14.2%), tangerines (+13.4%), and avocados (+13.1%).

On the other hand, the price decreases with the greatest negative impact were for potatoes (-9.6%), other fresh fruits (-6.5%), and eggs (-3.5%).
