Venezuelan citizen Wanda del Valle Bermúdez, who arrived in Peru extradited from Colombia in the early hours of December 31, will serve 18 months of preventive detention at the Women's Annex Prison, in Lima's Chorrillos district, for the alleged crime of conspiracy and offering to commit murder.
This was reported by the
National Penitentiary Institute (INPE) on the X platform Thursday afternoon, specifying that
the decision was adopted in accordance with the procedures established by said institution.
He was shot and killed by the Peruvian National Police (PNP) in June 2023, after several days of pursuit for murdering a municipal security guard from Lima's Surco district who had tried to stop him.
According to the PNP, Del Valle Bermúdez allegedly offered US$40,000 to murder Colonel Víctor Revoredo Farfán, who was then head of the Homicide Investigation Division at the Criminal Investigation Directorate (Dirincri) when he was behind the capture of 'Maldito Cris.'
The Venezuelan citizen is accused of collecting extortion payments from merchants, illegally selling and distributing firearms, coordinating with hitmen, and participating in the trafficking of Colombian and Venezuelan women who were sexually exploited in several countries of the region.
