The objective is to manage and implement comprehensive measures that contribute to the control, care, and timely monitoring of dengue patients.
Dengue is a viral disease transmitted by the bite of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito.
It is also characterized by symptoms such as mild or incapacitating fever, severe headache, pain behind the eyes, muscle and joint pain, and erythema.
On November 23, the
Ministry of Health (Minsa) launched a pilot vaccination program against dengue that will include 16 districts of Loreto, Piura, Tumbes, and Ucayali regions.
