Peruvian Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen has been participating in the Ninth High-Level Meeting of the Steering Committee of the Development Centre of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The theme of the meeting —which takes place in France— is
"Financing the future: Strategies for a just, green transition,"
which takes place from December 9 to 11.

"This meeting is an opportunity to discuss the urgent need to progressively increase financing for sustainable investment in developing countries and advance towards a green and fair transition in all dimensions of sustainable development," the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) reported on Tuesday.

Adrianzen spoke on the first day of the meeting, during the segment dedicated to the launch of the Latin American Economic Outlook 2024 Report. The document is prepared by the OECD Development Centre, jointly with the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), and the European Council.

During his speech, the Cabinet chief reflected on the progress that Peru and Latin America have made and the challenges they continue to face in order to achieve inclusive and sustainable development.

"The President of the Council of Ministers (Prime Minister) stressed that Peru is making an unprecedented effort to achieve a rapid and sustainable (economic) recovery, based on macroeconomic and fiscal stability, and within the framework of the rule of law, constitutional order, and democracy," the PCM reported.
