Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos announced that he will personally present the Golden Frying Pan in Peru, the Breakfast World Cup award, after
Pan con Chicharron was crowned the best in the globe, defeating Venezuela's Arepa in the final.
On his social media, Llanos highlighted that the trophy symbolizes the virtual competition's significance, which captured the attention of millions of people worldwide.
"The Breakfast World Cup has been an incredible event. The prize is the Golden Frying Pan, and I believe it represents the value of everything that has happened this month. I would be thrilled for this award to arrive in Peru; so tell me where it should be, where to place it, and to whom it should be given," he expressed.
The content creator added that he personally commits "to place it or give it to whoever you say," inviting Peruvians to decide the trophy's destination.
In another posted video, Llanos thanked Peruvians for the warm reception of the Breakfast World Cup, noting even street campaigns that encouraged people worldwide to vote for Pan con Chicharron.
"I am speechless. People have celebrated as if it were a Soccer World Cup," he said, commenting on the moment of euphoria last Saturday, when the results were announced.
Llanos noted that the support for the Peruvian breakfast came not only from the campaign by restaurants, authorities, and billboard ads, but also from foreign citizens who were encouraged to vote for Pan con Chicharron, fried sweet potatoes, and Peruvian coffee.

Tight victory
In the grand final, Peru's Pan con Chicharron received 12.8 million votes, while Venezuela's Arepa garnered 12.6 million, resulting in a slim difference of just 200,000 votes.
According to Llanos, the Peruvian breakfast received 6.5 million votes on TikTok, 4.9 million on Instagram, and 1.4 million on YouTube.
The closely contested final kept fans on edge in both countries.
In Lima, hundreds of citizens gathered at squares, markets, and restaurants to follow the live vote count.
The celebration erupted when the Peruvian victory was confirmed, with hugs, chants, and tastings of the popular dish, made of crispy bread, pork cracklings, fried sweet potatoes, and criolla sauce.
In various Peruvian regions, spontaneous celebrations were also reported, with banners, T-shirts, and, of course, the preparation of the traditional breakfast.
For many Peruvians, the victory of this traditional dish once again reaffirms the prestige and diversity of the nation's cuisine on the international stage.
