Foreign Minister Elmer Schialer inaugurated the Peruvian embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Abu Dhabi, a milestone that strengthens the ties of friendship, cooperation, and investment between the two countries.

He also emphasized that this new diplomatic mission means a new chapter in our bilateral relations.

During his official visit to the UAE, Peru's main trading partner in Africa and the Middle East, Foreign Minister Schialer highlighted Peru's solid economic development in the region, highlighting the multiple investment opportunities that Peru offers in various sectors.

On April 27, the Foreign Minister embarked from Lima on a strategic tour of the Arabian Peninsula with the aim of strengthening Peru's presence in the Gulf countries and consolidating economic and bilateral ties.

His work itinerary includes Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.

This is the first official visit by a Peruvian foreign minister to four Gulf countries.

This visit will locate Peru as an attractive destination for foreign investment and explore new opportunities for economic collaboration.

It will also facilitate the presence of Peruvian funds on the peninsula, boosting the development of trade in our products and services.
