on Tuesday underscored that the participation of the Armed Forces, including the Navy, has been decisive for the success of states of emergency, within the framework of the fight against citizen insecurity.
"This shows that united we can achieve anything, but divided, we cannot move forward. In the context of unity, I call on all Peruvians to remain united in the common goal of forging a safer and more modern Peru," she expressed.
At this event, the President highlighted the work carried out by the Navy in the fight against the terrorist remnants in the Valley of Apurimac, Ene, and Mantaro Rivers (Vraem), as well as its role in social inclusion.
The top official indicated that through the Itinerant Social Action Platforms (PIAS), which bring State-run services to the most vulnerable populations in the Amazonia and Lake Titicaca, attention was provided to over one million compatriots via the PIAS Ucayali I and II.
"The Navy is much more than a guarantor of sovereignty; it is a symbol of history as well, having played a leading role in the country's most crucial moments. Its contribution is not limited to protecting borders and waters; it also plays a key role in the homeland’s economic, social, and technological development," she said

Mrs. Boluarte highlighted the work of the Navy Industrial Services (SIMA), the shipyard that modernizes and builds naval units for both the Navy and the private sector, involving young people and bringing development to various areas of the country.
The Head of State told the graduating lieutenants that they represent the Navy's future and reminded them that, during their years of training, they have shown courage and perseverance, confronting challenges and achieving skills that prepare them for the demands of a global Navy.
"Today, by wearing this uniform, you assume the responsibility of defending our sovereignty, protecting our resources, and serving Peru with honor; be leaders of integrity, heirs to the example of Miguel Grau, who taught us that courage and humanism are values that define a true sailor," she expressed.
On this occasion, the Head of State was accompanied by Cabinet Chief Gustavo Adrianzen and Defense Minister Walter Astudillo. Also present at this event were Peruvian Navy senior officers, as well as the graduates' families, whom the President thanked for their support throughout the training of the new sailors.
