Peru: Defense and Finance Ministers visit Army Aeronautical Maintenance Center

Ministers Walter Astudillo (Defense) and José Arista (Economy-Finance) made a working visit to the Army Aeronautical Maintenance Center (CEMAE) in La Joya district, Arequipa region, to verify the capabilities and potential of the entity at a regional level.

Accompanied by the CEMAE Chief, Brigadier General Cesar Claudet, the Cabinet members toured the facilities of the center specialized in maintenance work on MI line helicopters, meeting high-quality standards.

Brigadier General Claudet highlighted the visit by authorities. Similarly, he stressed that this occasion allows the work performed by officers, technicians, and non-commissioned officers of the maintenance center to be boosted.

He also mentioned that they are in the process of strengthening their capabilities to position themselves as benchmarks in the region.

"We are working on obtaining certifications for our maintenance center. This center will make feasible and provide capacity throughout South America and in all countries for work on these MI-17 helicopters," he said.

Through the work carried out on the units repaired at these facilities, CEMAE contributes to the aeronautical development and major maintenance of helicopters, positioning the services offered on a national and regional scale.
