The famous U.S. streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr., popularly known as Speed (IShowSpeed on YouTube and Twitch), has been in Lima since Monday night as part of his tour across Latin America.
Although his recent arrival in the capital was chaotic, the streamer managed to leave Jorge International Airport fully covered in a hoodie and hat, escorted by his security team.
This content creator began his morning in Peru by visiting Lima's Historic Center, where he managed to gather hundreds of his followers while observing them from the balcony of the Lima Municipality.
He even chewed a coca leaf that was offered to him during one if his walks.
At just 20 years old, Speed had a brief conversation with his audience during a live stream, addressing the crowd in English before climbing onto the balcony and performing a flip, defying the height.
Afterwards,
Speed was escorted to the Municipal Theater, where he watched a private performance of Peru's traditional the Scissors Dance.
The streamer appeared deeply impressed by the intricate moves and flips performed with the scissors, showcasing a unique aspect of Andean Peruvian culture.
Popular on digital platforms, this young content creator has an estimated net worth of US$10 million, thanks to his success online and advertising deals with major brands.
He is expected to visit other key areas in the city.
