APEC 2024: Peru's Economic Leader meets with IMF Managing Director

Peru's economic leader, Dina Boluarte, on Friday held a meeting with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva, as part of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Peru 2024 forum currently underway in Lima.

The announcement was issued via the Presidential Office's account on X.

During the meeting, Mrs. Boluarte reaffirmed her administration's commitment to upholding sound macroeconomic policies to support the nation's economic stability.

Similarly, she emphasized ongoing efforts to position Peru as an attractive destination for international investments.

These meetings reflect the current administration's focus on consolidating Peru's role as a key player in the global economy, amidst the challenges and opportunities presented within the global context.


Peru is hosting APEC for the third time after the 2008 and 2016 editions.
