Peruvian Energy and Mines Minister Romulo Mucho has been participating at major international events held in Santiago, Chile, where he has set up meetings with the main mining investors from around the world in order to discuss issues linked to the demand, supply, and prices of the refined red metal.
This activity brought together more than 60 members of the principal mining economies in the world, including government authorities, entrepreneurs, and leaders of the mining industry coming from countries such as Germany, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, United States, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Sweden, among others.
As part of today's agenda, the Energy and Mines sector's head and Deputy Mines Minister Henry Luna met with Antofagasta Minerals representatives led by the mining company's CEO Ivan Arraigada.
Arraigada, who highlighted Peru's attractions for investment, noted that Antofagasta Minerals has prospects of investing in Trapiche (Apurimac region) and Coimolache Sulfurus (Cajamarca region) projects.
"We want to invest responsibly for the benefit of Peru's development," he pointed out.
