At the Battle of Junin's Bicentennial ceremony, Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen called on Peruvian citizens to engage in dialogue, unity, and to set aside differences in order to build a great nation.

"From Pampa de Junin, I call on every Peruvian to follow the example of Battle of Junin heroes, to set aside our differences, and to fight for a great nation, the nation our children deserve," he expressed on Tuesday.

On behalf of President Dina Boluarte, the Cabinet chief called for "dialogue, unity, coordination, and the joining of efforts to remain at the forefront."

The Prime Minister, who participated in this ceremony, also highlighted the importance of the Battle of Junin in the consolidation of the independence of both Peru and the entire region.

Adrianzen said that the declaration of independence on July 28, 1821, was not fully achieved until 1824, when the patriots —together with sister countries Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, and Panama— joined in this heroic feat on Pampa de Junin.

In his speech, he recalled the sacrifice of men and women who, guided by leaders such as Simon Bolivar and Antonio Jose de Sucre, proved that the fight for freedom can overcome any obstacle.

"Subsequently, the patriot forces, even with the presence of the royalists, will reunite in Ayacucho to seal the freedom of the Americas and Peru once and for all," he stated.

"To boost foreign trade and tourism, the Government has prioritized the export of products such as frozen trout, maca, aguaymanto, native potatoes, pineapples, turmeric, ginger, cacao, coffee, and more," he noted.

"All these actions prove our firm commitment to the comprehensive development of Junin region and the well-being of its citizens," he stated.
