Peru: Prime Minister attends Junin Battle Bicentennial Gala event

Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen, State ministers, and government authorities on Monday evening participated in the gala ceremony for the Battle of Junin Bicentennial, which featured a historical presentation in homage to its heroes and heroines.

"The Bicentennial of the Battle of Junin requires us to pay tribute to those who helped secure our independence. We have a responsibility to always honor their memory and to live up to the reasons for which they fought," Adrianzen expressed.

The Cabinet chief stressed that the battle paved the way for consolidating the independence of Peru and of the region.

"By remembering the past, let us build the future, always keeping in mind the firm conviction that together we can build a more prosperous and free country," he stated.

This event was led by the Cabinet chief and Culture Minister Leslie Urteaga.

It also saw the participation of Ministers Walter Astudillo (Defense), Jose Arista (Economy-Finance), Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea (Foreign Affairs), Morgan Quero (Education), Juan Jose Santivañez (Interior), Sergio Gonzalez (Production), Elizabeth Galdo (Foreign Trade-Tourism), Juan Carlos Castro (Environment), Romulo Mucho (Energy-Mines), Daniel Maurate (Labor-Employment Promotion), Julio Demartini (Development-Social Inclusion), and Teresa Hernandez (Women-Vulnerable Populations).
