Peru-South Korea highlight bilateral relations and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

Peruvian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Peter Camino met with his South Korean counterpart Chung Byung-won during the 8th Meeting of the High-Level Political Consultation Mechanism between the two countries.

At this event, the government officials highlighted the excellent bilateral relationship between Peru and South Korea.

Likewise, the dignitaries made progress on the coordination for the transition of the APEC pro-tempore presidency to be assumed by the Asian economy in 2025.

The Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reported that during the meeting, they highlighted the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established by the two countries since 2012.

"At the roundtable discussion titled 'The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Peru and South Korea and its Outlook in the Asia-Pacific,' both parties presented their views on the bilateral relationship and its future in the Asia-Pacific region," the government agency concluded.
