The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte emphasized that the current government is promoting a society where every woman has equal opportunities for growth, thus ensuring a better future for the country.

During a ceremony commemorating International Women's Day at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday, the top official said that this important date serves to remember the fight for a fairer society.

"In 2025, the economic empowerment of women will be an essential condition for the country's sustainable growth. Their active participation in the labor market and productive sectors strengthens our economy and transforms our society," Mrs. Boluarte stated.

"As a Government, we continue to promote a society where every woman has the power to grow, decide, and succeed without limits," she added.

The top official said that equal opportunities are guaranteed through government actions, with a future where the voice and talent of women take center stage.

"Today, we recognize their bravery and renew our commitment to building a present and future where every woman can live with dignity and exercise her rights," she stated during her speech.

The President emphasized that no woman deserves to live facing physical or psychological violence. Thus, it is everyone's responsibility to put an end to this situation.

However, she also stated that it is a challenge which requires everyone's unity in society, as no one should be indifferent in the fight against violence toward female citizens

"There is a long road ahead, and we must walk united as women, but also alongside men. With equality and respect, we will achieve a society where everyone has the same opportunities," she concluded.
