A total of 1,200 triathletes from Peru and other countries around the world participated in the sixth edition of Ironman 70.3 Peru 2025, which took place last Sunday at the coast of Lima in the zone known as Costa Verde (Green Coast).
This sport contest served as a qualifier for the world triathlon championship, which is going to be held in Spain.
This event, which combines the disciplines of swimming, cycling, and running, had as winners the French triathlete Casimir Moine (03h 39m 11s) in the men's category, and the Mexican Cecilia Pérez (04h 09m 50s) in the women's category, in what was the main category, Pro.
With this result, the Mexican Olympic athlete becomes the first two-time champion of Ironman 70.3 Peru.

Luciano Taccone (03:40:02) from Argentina and Justin Riele (03:46:00) from the United States completed the podium in the men’s category; while in the women’s category, the American Michelle Stratton (04:11:06) was second and the Argentine Romina Biagioli (04:14:30) finished third.
Arturo Salinas was the best Peruvian in the competition; occupying 13th place in the PRO category with a time of 4 hours, 8 minutes, and 48 seconds in what was his debut in the Ironman contest.
The start and finish line were at Agua Dulce Beach and the triathletes from 32 countries had to complete 1.9 km of open water swimming, 90 km of cycling, and finish with 21.1 km of running.

The competition awarded 45 qualifying slots for the Age Group categories for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Marbella (Spain), which will take place on November 8-9 2025.
“We have experienced a historic day for Peruvian triathlon in this sixth edition of the Xmart Healthy Living Ironman 70.3 Peru 2025 Presented by Fuxion. All that’s left is to highlight that this was made possible thanks to the support of private companies and local authorities,” said Daniel de Montreuil, organizer of the competition.
Ironman 70.3 Peru 2025 thanked the support of the Municipality of Chorrillos with its mayor Fernando Velazco; Municipality of Lima, National Police of Peru, and the Peruvian Sports Federation of Triathlon.
