Peru to showcase potential at International Mining and Resources Conference in Australia

10:45 | Lima, Sep. 9.

"Peru Time" will be one of the central segments at the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) 2025, the most important mining event in the Asia-Pacific region, to be held in Sydney, Australia, from October 19 to 23.

This platform —designed to highlight Peru's mining potential— will feature four hours of technical presentations spread over two days at the Global Opportunities Theatre.

It will showcase the best of the South American country's investment portfolio —valued at over US$64 billion— along with geological maps, project catalogs, and opportunities for technological cooperation.

Australia–Peru Chamber of Commerce (APCCI) Chairman Carlos Castro Silvestre announced that Peru's booth will occupy a 36-square-meter area within Sydney's International Convention Centre.

From there, it will provide strategic information to international investors and serve as a meeting point for members of the official Peruvian delegation and event participants.

As a symbol of identity, delegation members will wear the traditional red scarf featuring the "Marca Peru" (Peru Brand) logo, reinforcing the message of a united, professional, and reliable country in terms of mining.

Additionally, the booth will be supported by Peruvian volunteers residing in Australia, mostly young professionals who contribute to projecting a modern and multicultural image of the South American country.

"Peru will arrive at IMARC with one of the strongest delegations, allowing us to showcase high-impact projects that meet world-class environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards," Castro Silvestre stated.

The official agenda includes participation in investment forums, bilateral meetings with global authorities, visits to mining innovation centers, and a special session at the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) —the world's leading hub for mining project financing.

The delegation will also seek to strengthen ties with Australian METS companies (suppliers of engineering, technology, equipment, and services) with the aim of incorporating innovative solutions that boost a more efficient, modern, and sustainable mining sector in Peru.

IMARC is the leading mining industry conference in the Southern Hemisphere.

The 2025 edition will bring together over 10,500 participants from 120 countries, including institutional investors, executives from major mining companies, technology manufacturers, multilateral organizations, and government representatives.
