stated on Wednesday that promoting a US$20 billion project package, as part of inPERU's XVIII Europe Roadshow 2025 in London and Madrid, will help keep Peru as an important destination for attracting investment.
The projects to be presented on the tour focus on key sectors such as transportation, energy, sanitation, education, health, tourism, and real estate, among others.
The government official emphasized that, together with Chile, we are the countries that attract the most investment and demonstrate economic stability.
Fiscal stability
Regarding the upcoming political scenario, Minister Perez Reyes stated that it is his sector's responsibility to maintain fiscal solidity.
"We have just received the fiscal deficit results up to August, and we are at 2.4% of GDP, which is good, but we should not be complacent," he said.
The Cabinet member explained that fiscal solidity is reflected in lower interest rates.
"We must continue working along these lines and provide the next government with the assurance to swiftly manage both the electoral and economic process," he noted.
Higher sales
On another note, Minister Perez Reyes mentioned that sales recorded in electronic payment receipts during the first half of 2025 showed an 8% increase.
In this regard, the high-ranking official noted that department store sales are growing spectacularly.
"This tells us that the Peruvian economy is performing well. We must maintain this positive message," he emphasized.
The minister reiterated that on this inPERU tour a US$20 billion project package will be presented, including investments linked to Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contracts.
"In Spain, we are promoting a US$20 billion project package with PPP investments," Perez Reyes pointed out.
He noted that the new PPP Law was recently approved, which has allowed for organizational improvements at the State-run Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversión).
