Peru continues to consolidate its position as an attractive destination for foreign investment in the mining and energy sector, Energy and Mines Minister Jorge Montero highlighted following his participation in the first stage of the XVIII Europe Roadshow 2025 in London.

Likewise, the government official stated that he held 10 meetings with major investment groups and international banks, which expressed interest in projects related to mining, hydrocarbons, renewable energy, and power generation.

Among the most significant sessions, the minister stressed his meetings with Deutsche Bank and the Brazilian investment bank BTG Pactual, which expressed interest in expanding their participation in various strategic sectors of Peru.

The Cabinet member underscored the meeting with Goldman Sachs, which addressed opportunities in oil exploration and production, lithium investments, and the potential of Peru's metallurgical industry.

Minister Montero also held discussions with major funds and companies in the energy sector.

Their representatives expressed interest in continuing to invest in the country and exploring new opportunities in natural gas, renewable energy, and power generation.

These meetings —he noted— reaffirm Peru's appeal as a reliable and competitive investment destination, as well as investors' willingness to maintain and expand their presence in the country.

"This first day leaves us with high expectations. We have held productive meetings with interlocutors who know Peru well, have resources and established businesses, and are eager to continue investing in the country. Our task now is to continue boosting these investments," Minister Montero emphasized.

The XVIII Europe Roadshow 2025 took place in London on September 8 and 9. It aimed to position Peru as a reliable, competitive, and secure destination for foreign investment in sectors strategic to growth and sustainable development.
