Peru: Chimu sacrifice discovered in Viru's preceramic temple

Surprising new findings in Viru province, La Libertad region, northern Peru. Peruvian researchers have discovered the remains of an individual who, following a sacrificial ceremony, was buried at the northeast corner of Huaca El Cerrito 2. Recent excavations also confirmed that this site may be 4,000 years old, making it the second-oldest adobe building in this region.
