Peru: FA Ministry recommends extreme caution for Peruvians in Middle East

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Thursday recommending that Peruvian citizens in the Middle East take extreme precautions due to the worsening security situation in said zone.

In this regard, fellow citizens are urged to remain attentive to the recommendations of local authorities and to prepare contingency plans in order to deal with any situation resulting from the escalation of conflict.

Similarly, Peruvians are asked to consider leaving the above-mentioned territory, taking into account the commercial routes that are still operational and noting that the latter could change without any prior notice.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Peruvian Embassies in Israel, Egypt, and Türkiye, remains in contact with our compatriots in the region and stays attentive to the evolution of the situation in order to provide the appropriate assistance," reads the statement.
