The event aimed to foster dialogue among government officials, business leaders, and investors to outline public administration priorities and the conditions needed to promote investment, growth, and competitiveness as the country moves toward 2027.
During his remarks, the Senate head said Peru needs political stability, legal certainty, and clear rules to consolidate economic recovery.
The Chairman noted that Congress seeks to strengthen a legislative agenda aimed at enhancing competitiveness, attracting sustainable investment, and creating formal jobs.
"Peru needs consensus between the State and the private sector. In Parliament, we are committed to providing predictability and a legal framework that inspires investor confidence and gives all Peruvians peace of mind," he stated.
Torres also highlighted the importance of coordinating efforts to strengthen strategic sectors such as energy, mining, housing, infrastructure, and security, which are essential to national development toward 2027.
The event was attended by Ministers Rafael Belaunde (Defense), Guillermo Shinno (Energy and Mines), Marco Vinelli (Agrarian Development and Irrigation); Canada-Peru Chamber of Commerce Chairman Oscar Benavides; Swiss Ambassador to Peru Eric Mayoraz; representatives of business associations, as well as domestic and foreign investors.
