Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen on Monday thanked Congress for approving the requested legislative powers in a second voting session, as he highlighted that this coordination effort was made prioritizing the needs of Peru.

The Cabinet chief said the Executive Branch will be allowed to issue decrees on matters of economic reactivation, State business activity, citizen security, and national defense.

"The articulation that was seen, prioritizing Peru's needs, will help us move forward as a country," Adrianzen expressed on the X platform.

The high-ranking official also indicated that now the Executive Branch starts intensive work to develop the legislative decrees already announced.

Similarly, he specified that said decrees will take into account the Government's priorities, which are economic reactivation and citizen security.

During a plenary session earlier today, Congress ratified the substitute text bill granting the Executive Branch powers to legislate on various matters —within the framework of the extraordinary legislature convened by President Dina Boluarte for this purpose.
