PM: Textile and apparel exports reached US$1.483 billion in 2024

Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen highlighted the US$1.483 billion achieved by textile and apparel exports between January and November 2024.

This figure represents an 8.2% increase, as noted by the Cabinet chief on his social media account.

In recent days, Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Desilu Leon emphasized the strong performance of Peru's textile and apparel exports.

She indicated that of the US$1.483 billion in exports, 73% corresponded to apparel and 27% to textiles (fibers, fabrics, and yarns).

From January to November 2024, textile and apparel sales abroad reached 103 destinations, with notable growth in shipments to Colombia (34.2%).

The United States remains the main market for this sector.

At a regional level, Lima leads as the top exporting region, accounting for 71% of the total, followed by Arequipa (14%) and Ica (10%).
