The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Friday stated that her Government is intensifying the fight against delinquency and organized crime, and it will never back down from this commitment to citizen security.

"We will end this war, (which was) started by crime; we will win it for the well-being of our compatriots, their families, and our beloved Peru. We will never give up on laying the foundations for a safer and more inclusive Peruvian society, for the benefit of all," she emphasized.

The Head of State underscored the importance of confronting, with determination and commitment, the challenges that threaten the country's security.

Within this framework, the top official called for national unity, reminding citizens that only with the joint effort of citizens and institutions can a peaceful future be ensured.

"This fight, dear sisters and brothers, requires us to stand united, because supported by one heart and one fist, we will defeat the criminal terrorism that seeks to take away our peace and tranquility," Mrs. Boluarte expressed.

"In unity, we all win; in disunity and with violence, we all lose, and Peru, above all, loses. Peru does not stop. With strength, we will continue to advance," she added.

These new platforms entailed an investment worth over S/58 million (above US$15.5 million) and will start operating on November 4.

"With clean hands, we are making these boats available to more than 44,000 compatriots from 351 towns in Requena, Ucayali, and Atalaya provinces. This way, we will serve indigenous peoples such as the Yines, Ashaninkas, Shipibo-Konibos, and Kukama-Kukamiria, as well as foster their well-being and sustainable development," she underlined.

The main services to be offered by PIAS will include general medicine, obstetrics, nursing, dentistry, pediatrics, gynecology, ophthalmology, as well as the delivery of medications, pharmacy, and laboratory services.

They will also provide disability certification, identity registration, financial services, economic transfers payment, affiliation to the Comprehensive Health Insurance (SIS), socioeconomic classification through the Household Focalization System (SISFOH), guidance and affiliation to social programs, as well as capacity building in self-care and violence prevention.

"Here in Loreto, in the heart of the Amazonia, we reaffirm our commitment to bring the State closer to Peruvians, especially the most vulnerable, those who live in hard-to-reach areas, such as the Amazon basins," she emphasized.

Moreover, the president pointed out that with these two new platforms, a total of 14 PIAS have been created which navigate the rivers of Loreto and Ucayali regions, as well as Lake Titicaca in Puno region.
