Peru: President Boluarte meets with APEC Business Advisory Council members

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Monday led an audience with representatives of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC Peru), belonging to the Peruvian Foreign Trade Society (ComexPeru).

During the meeting, the Head of State received the recommendations report to be presented to APEC leaders, the Presidential Office reported.

Similarly, the top official underscored the importance of working jointly with the private sector to reduce poverty and close gaps in the country.

The ABAC is made up of up to three full members from each of the 21 APEC economies and up to three alternate members, whose appointments are made by the leader of each economy.

According to the ComexPeru website, the full members of ABAC Peru are Alfonso Bustamante Canny (CEO, Corporacion Financiera de Inversiones), Julia Torreblanca (Vice President Corporate Affairs, Cerro Verde Mining Society) and Guillermo Ferreyros (General Manager, SAVIA Peru).

The alternate members are Jose Luis Noriega (Commercial Director at Empresas Nobex) and Juan Mulder (Director at Quimica Suiza).


Peru is hosting APEC for the third time after the 2008 and 2016 editions.
