President Dina Boluarte participated virtually in the World Food Forum 2024, which takes in the Italian city of Rome.

During her speech, the Head of State underscored that the fight against hunger and malnutrition is a priority for Peru.

Similarly, the top official indicated that the Government is leading initiatives such as the recovery of 120,000 hectares of terraces to increase productivity and reduce rural poverty.

Launched in 2021, the World Food Forum is an independent, youth-led global network of partners, which is facilitated by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)

It aims to initiate a global movement that empowers young people everywhere to actively influence agri-food systems so as to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Forum will promote bold and feasible solutions aimed at catalyzing the transformation of agri-food systems in light of current challenges and crises.
